Southwest Florida Peacock Bass Fishing
Early June Fishing Report
The summer weather patterns are becoming more present as we go into June. Luckily for us here in Southwest Florida, that means endless fishing opportunities! Peacock bass are native to South American. They thrive best in water temperatures above 75 degrees Fahrenheit. So summer is one of the best times to target them.
We spent the morning targeting peacock bass in the Golden Gate Canal System. With all the recent rain we’ve been getting, the water levels are very high, this allows the peacock bass to seek new cover and makes it extremely fun to sight can them off the shorelines.
Overall we wrapped up a couple of hours out on the kayak with some very quality fish. This time of year is the best to get out there and target these beautiful colorful fish. Make sure to book your Kayak Fishing Charter with us today, don’t miss out on this incredible fishery!
